Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Semans
held on Tuesday, the 17th day of November, 2016 in the Municipal Office
at Semans, Saskatchewan.

**Gary Papic, our representative of the Water Security Agency, arrived at the meeting at 7:40pm**
• Gary discussed the future of our water treatment plant and what the latest test results are showing us.
o The ammonia level is at 4.5, normal level is 0.2.
o Advised us that the ammonia levels in the water right now are high but are not unsafe at this time.
o Advised us that an R.O. system would be the best option for us to remove the ammonia from the water, but encouraged council to look at other options as well (i.e. Air Stripping system)
• Gary left the meeting at 8:30
Call to Order:
A quorum being present, Mayor Jay Holmes, called the meeting to order at 8:34pm.
287/16 N. Warriner: Motion to adopt the agenda as presented with the power to add.
288/16 N. Warriner: That the minutes of the regular meeting of November 1, 2016 be approved as read.
289/16 C. Phillips: That the list of accounts be accepted as presented and attached.
290/16 R. Lamontagne: That motion 264/16 be rescinded and that the November 2016 financials be NOT accepted as presented as the 2015 accounts have not been properly closed and therefore alter the current financial reports.
291/16 C. Phillips: That we advertise in The Last Mountain Times paper for a Village Maintenance Operator. Starting wage will be $18.00 per hour, Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day.
Water Shut Off Key:
292/16 C. Phillips: That Ray Lamontagne pick up a new water shut off key
293/16 N. Warriner: That we pay Jose Digney a wage of $22.50 per hour while \ filling in for Amanda two days a week while she is away from December 2 – 16.
294/16 R. Lamontagne: That we hire Jade Ross at a wage of $14.00 per hour.
295/16 M. Bains: That we invoice Tom Anderson a rate of $20.00 per yard of gravel.
KC Ventures Dig
296/16 R. Lamontagne: That we approve the KC Ventures dig as a result of an emergency water leak on Monday, November 7 , 2016.
297/16 R. Lamontagne: That we do not reduce the taxes on the Ladner church property as they have already received the garage package rate.
Village Truck Plate Renewal:
298/16 J. Holmes: That we renew the Village truck plates for a period of one year.
299/16 M. Bains: That the meeting be adjourned at 10:24 PM
